Connection Overview

S-Vide cable carries two separate signals one for luminance and the other for colour and prevents signal degradation. S-Video is often called Y/C offers and excellent standard definition picture quality and has the least loss of resolution among standard definition connectors

Component video is a signal that has been split into two or more components. Component cables look like composite cables but their colours differ. There are three cables for video alone, red, green and blue. Component cables are able to carry 480p video as well as high definition video

PC input cable is often called a VGA cable and most laptop computers support VGA. VGA will give you a high resolution and excellent image clarity. In very simple terms a PC input cable will allow you to connect your laptop or PC to your television set to display the contents on a big screen

Composite video signal is a video signal where red, green and blue signals are mixed together. Typical uses for composite video cables are camcorders, video recorders and TV's. These recognizable cables have a yellow connector for video, a white connector for monaural audio and a white and red connector for stereo audio
