Products Returns - Unwanted within 14 days of receipt
As a consumer you have the right, under the Distance Selling Regulations (EU) 2000., to cancel the contract and receive a refund for your goods if cancelled in writing within 7 days.
However, at 1staudiovisual we will accept unwanted AV products for refund after this 7 day period as long as it is within 14 days of delivery, but only provided that the goods are complete with all relevant packaging, documents, contents and accessories in properly cared for condition. Soiled, damaged or incomplete products will not be accepted and will be returned to the consumer.
You must inform us in writing of your request to cancel by logging into your account, selecting Returns & Faults, and requesting a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number before goods can be returned to us. This must be completed within fourteen working days from the day your goods were delivered to you.
We strongly recommend that all original packaging should be retained for returns/refund/warranty purposes. Should you request 1staudiovisual to arrange collection of a product after 7 days, you MUST have kept all the original packaging and accessories. If the original packaging has been disposed of, you will have to source a new box and packaging which can provide at least the same level of protection afforded by the original packaging which we supplied with your goods. You will then need to arrange a delivery to our warehouse at your own risk and expense. We strongly recommend booking an insured service as we will not accept poorly packaged, transit damaged goods for refund or replacement.
Please note the following special conditions which apply to RMA requests for unwanted items received after 7 days but within 14 days of delivery :
- Goods not in the original packaging are to be returned at the discretion of 1staudiovisual and at the consumers risk and expense; we recommend using an insured service.
- The average delivery cost on a small item is £10 and £25 for larger items and this will be deducted from any goods returned unless products are confirmed faulty.
- The average delivery cost on all Plasma and LCDs, 40 inches and above in size, is £55 and this shall be deducted from goods returned unless products are confirmed faulty.
- The average delivery cost of white goods is £55 one way, customers who return goods after 7 days but within 14 days will be refunded less the delivery charge unless products are confirmed faulty.
Faulty Products - Return within 14 days for Refund or Exchange with NO hidden charges
If any product develops a fault within the first 14 days of receipt we will collect and either refund or replace with NO COSTS TO YOU WHATSOEVER. No restocking fees, No courier charges, No collection charges, no admin charges.
We do require that you report it to us by logging in to your account, selecting Returns and Faults, and requesting a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number before goods can be returned to us.
Any product returned as faulty within the first 14 days of receipt must be assessed by the manufacturer or an agent of the manufacturer to confirm that it is indeed faulty. This process can take up to 5 working days from collection of the product.
Should a fault be confirmed by the manufacturer then we will offer a full refund or replacement of the product.
For all UK Mainland orders collection and replacement costs will be met in FULL by 1staudiovisual except in the following circumstances.
All original packaging should be retained for returns/refund/warranty purposes. Should you require 1staudiovisual to arrange collection of a product you MUST have kept all the original packaging and accessories. If your goods go faulty within 14 days and you have not kept the packaging you will be required to return the goods using your own courier at your own risk as we will not be able to guarantee safe transit via 3rd party couriers.
Products that develop a fault after 14 days All 1staudiovisual products come with a minimum 1 year warranty period. Any product that develops a fault after the first 14 days following delivery then provided your item is within its warranty period, you are entitled to a repair, or if the warranty agent agrees the unit cannot be repaired, a replacement. This does not apply to faults caused by accident, neglect or misuse for which there can be no refund or exchange
