Panasonic have announced that it is to expand its line of VIERA series of LCD TV's. Building on the success off its award winning series of freesat models, Panasonic has increased its freesat offering with its new models that range from 14 to 54 inches. Packed full of groundbreaking technology housed in beautiful Panasonic design its going to be hard standard to beat for Panasonic's competitors

Full HD reproduces the picture in the exact way it was transmitted without having to scale the image to fit a lower resolution TV.

The number 1080 refers to the lines of vertical resolution and the letter p stands for progressive scan as apposed to interlace scan that is less smooth and can cause flicker.

Freesat is a free to air digital satellite service providing an alternative to Freeview. A joint venture between BBC and ITV, Freesat channels are available without subscription once you have purchased a receiver. These popular BBC and ITV programs are broadcast in high definition and Freesat have said they expect to add around 30 channels each month.

Traditional TV's display visual images at 50Hz frames per second. 100Hz runs at twice that amount by creating an extra unique frame between each of the existing 50 frames. Doubling the frames displayed per second results in a much smoother picture especially when watching fast action movies and sports.

Quadruple speed frame rate for TV. Three predictive new images are added to the action giving you an astonishing 200 frames per second that results in super sharp images ensuring that you don\'t miss a single detail of the action taking picture clarity one step further and eliminating judder and blur.

Digital Living Network Alliance allows your home and mobile entertainment devices and PC to share digital content, such as photos, music and video, with each other via a wired or wireless network, both within and beyond the home giving you the freedom to access, play and share your favourite content regardless of where you are.
