Panasonic have introduced the VIERA NeoPDP plasma televisions that based on several breakthrough innovations have taken flat screen TV to the next level. This new generation of Panasonic Plasma TV's is based on newly developed picture enhancement technologies, all of which combines improved picture quality with energy efficient features housed in a super slim and stunning design. What more could you ask?

Full HD reproduces the picture in the exact way it was transmitted without having to scale the image to fit a lower resolution TV.

The number 1080 refers to the lines of vertical resolution and the letter p stands for progressive scan as apposed to interlace scan that is less smooth and can cause flicker.

A video format that operates at 24 frames per second. Standard TV uses 25 frames per second where as films for the cinema are shot at 24 frames per second. 24p mode allows you to enjoy films at the speed the director intended and not played back faster as would normally occur on a set not equipped with 24p.

Traditional TV\'s display visual images at 50Hz frames per second. 100Hz runs at twice that amount by creating an extra unique frame between each of the existing 50 frames. Doubling the frames displayed per second results in a much smoother picture especially when watching fast action movies and sports.

Freesat is a free to air digital satellite service providing an alternative to Freeview. A joint venture between BBC and ITV, Freesat channels are available without subscription once you have purchased a receiver. These popular BBC and ITV programs are broadcast in high definition and Freesat have said they expect to add around 30 channels each month.

Digital Living Network Alliance allows your home and mobile entertainment devices and PC to share digital content, such as photos, music and video, with each other via a wired or wireless network, both within and beyond the home giving you the freedom to access, play and share your favourite content regardless of where you are.
