Great TV, massive and super thin. Handy network port for connecting to home network and streaming music/film from pc (wireless optional but I didn't need to). Sound is ok but as most people hook up stereo/amp this isn't important. Has optical out on tv so you can connect directly to amp, so you don't need multiple connections via PS3, etc. Can't fault it!

The sound is as good as my previous tv i have never used surround system so do not know any different.picture very good but takes a bit of setting up still playing!

This tv is an absolutely fantastic buy that I would definately recommend. It was easy to install and get working. The picture quality is so amazing it is like being in the cinema in your own living room! It is bright, sharp, crisp and clear to view. It is also cosmetically attractive so will look the part in any stylish living room. It is not intrusive although it is a 46" screen. It is certainly a movie fan's dream as watching a HD dvd on it is first class. The film image is such high quality it is almost 3d.

Fantastic TV. Had it side by side with my son-in-laws 40" X series Bravia (a couple of years old) and the difference was stunning. The contrast on the Samsung set is fanominal and the extra 6 inches made all the difference. Add to that 3 HDMI's, the screen being all of about 20mm thick and the USB ports. This is a really great TV.

Superb picture,excelent design,consumer friendly,sound could be better, but what to expect from speakers less than 29 mm wide, so home cinema recommended

I was looking around for a while for my new TV. I usually go for Sony which I have been very happy with in the past, but I thought I would check out Panasonic and Samsung before I made my purchase. I went to my local store to check them out and was so impressed by the Samsung series 7, it only took me about 5 mins to make a decision. The picture and sound quality are awesome. Its real easy to use and comes with 2 remotes - a full one plus a little mini pebble shape for just changing channel and volume etc. I love the media 2.0 with its 2 USB slots. I have a external hard drive hooked up to access my movies really easily and quickly. 4 x HDMI slots plus it still has adapters to cater for old Scart/phono equipment. Also love how ultra slim it is! I would say the only things which was missing compared to the other brands was Free sat plus you have to buy a separate wireless USB dongle to hook up to pc (You can do LAN, but wasn't possible for me where the TV is). Apart from that an excellent choice!

Lovely looking TV with a great very high-contrast picture. Packed with features incluidng internet access over your existing network (Ethernet cable or I used a wireless Ethernet bridge). Have only been using it for a day but the picture is eye-wateringly crisp and colourful. Having seen them next to equivalent sized standard-lit LCD TVs from LG, Sony and Panasonic - there was no comparsion... the Samsung image was miles ahead in depth, black-levels and colour. Shadow detail is the best I have seen on an LCD TV and there is plenty of information in the bright areas too. It looks 'wow' straight out of the box with the standard settings - but when you get into the menus you will see that the default is high contrast, full backlight and a bit of a colour boost to give it punch is store. Trim these back a little for a more natural picture. As with EVERY flat panel TV to date the sound is mediocre at best. OK if you are just watching TV but if you want to get into movies or sport, some other home-cinema kit is essential for decent sound. Ultra-slim TVs and good sound sound (requiring box-volume and large drivers) are mutually exclusive. Connectivity is quite tricky as the four HDMI inputs are aligned vertically behind the screen and only about 120mm from the edge of the bezel. This means that thick or stiff HDMI cables are likely to protrude out from behind the screen. I had to swap to lighter-guage (cheaper) HDMI leads as fat IXOS cables stuck out too far and you could seem them peeking out to the left of the screen. If you have sopurce equipment without HDMI there is a scart adapter which connects to a bespoke Samsung socket - although i believe this is only an inoput not two-way so you can't record direct from the TV through this connection (citation required). Composite vide/audio and component video (YPrPb - not RGB) are connected with 3.5mm jacks - with suitable adapters supplied in the box. There are no actual cables in the box - so you will need HDMIs and Ethernet at least for all the features. Overall I am very pleased with this product and am yet to find anything to really gripe about. It's not cheap of course - but the picture benfits, features and 1in thickness make the outlay more than worthwhile. And as a final thought, LED backlight technology is still new and speaking from experience if you buy into new technology a warranty is probably a very good idea. As I saved almost £400 at 1stAudiovisual - a couple of hundred quid for a 5-year warranty seemed like a very good idea.
