Music video streaming service, PAL only

PAL PlayStation 3 owners will be able to access a new trial streaming video service from Sony in early 2009. Named 'VidZone' the free service allows streaming of music videos to your PlayStation 3 or PSP.

According to the press release you'll be able to build up playlists of videos across musical genres and personalise the viewing experience. It looks like this will all be monetised with charges to download songs, the music videos and ringtones to your mobile.

After all, we know that there's only music so that there's new ringtones.

Sony promise a "comprehensive film, TV and music download service "at a later date". Of course the Americans already have this service, which was launched at E3 this year.
