Sony has released the following video to demonstrate all the things that the upcoming Firmware 2.40 update is going to enable. It's everything that PS3 owners have spent the last year clamouring for, but Xbox 360 players will no doubt notice there's a few distinct similarities between Sony's 'new' features and all the stuff the Xbox 360 did the whole damn time.

Let's just tick these of the list then: Friends messaging within game.... check. Music changing within game... check. Clock... check Achievements Trophies... check

Well, I think that's got that Xbox Live thing covered then. Good thing they threw that Google toolbar in there, really. I'm pretty sure Xbox fans are never ever going to be found asking Microsoft for a Live Search toolbar.
